ABOUT KAREN
 
I was born and raised in Tennessee.  My Dad was in the housing business and I grew up working there from an early age.  After high school I began doing model homes for him which along with a Mom who always had a natural talent for design lead to my desire for a degree in Interior Design.  I later graduated fromThe University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Interior Design.  I worked for many years as a licensed interior designer and owned my own business while raising our four sons.   I continued in interior design until moving to Scottsdale in 2005 with my husband after his retirement from the aviation industry.

I love the South and all of its warm, friendly people but the Arizona climate kept calling my husband and I after we visited over a period of 10 years.  We left Tennessee and moved here in 2005 and it has been all we dreamed it would be.   It is wonderful waking up to sunshine and great weather every day!

 I decided I would continue in the housing business as a Realtor and due to the growing trend for home staging when preparing homes for the real estate market, I added my accreditation in home staging.  I had always based my design business on providing personalized customer service and I believed that by adding home staging as a complimentary service for my real estate clients that I could better serve them when they were ready to list their home for the market. 

Today I continue to grow my business by referral only from satisfied customers that feel I have provided them the service they deserve.  I love working with clients and their homes in a creative way tailored to their specific needs.  I am successful only when I am able to assist clients so as to take the stress out of their buying or selling experience.  In today's market that can be a challenge but it is one that I continue to enjoy striving to achieve. 

I am honest and upfront about being realistic on pricing and what preparation work needs to be done on your home before putting it on the market.  I do not tell clients what they want to hear just to get the listing as many agents will do.   My goal is to assist you in preparing your home for the market,  to help you sell it in the shortest amount of time with the least amount of inconvenience and to assist you in receiving the best price possible on your investment after carefully evaluating the area in which you are selling.  I believe in starting out with a home properly prepared and appropriately priced so as to alleviate the stress that a long marketing period can cause.  Too many price reductions or too many days on the market can actually cause you to lose money rather than receive a larger return on your investment.  Why not start off with a home looking great and ready to sell from the first MLS photo and showing?
